I can trace my Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) based thinking and memories as far back as I can remember, but I was diagnosed officially around fifth grade. It has been a struggle off and on since then. My family has always been my greatest source of support, especially my mom who has carried me through my roughest patches. I am also very lucky to have married a wonderful man who understands and helps get me through it all, and recently I became the mom to two perfect furbabies: Lily and Luke.
Some people talk about finding a cure, but I see it as almost a personality trait that can get out of hand. I've been told by multiple authorities that my OCD will never totally go away, and I'm learning to live with it.
I created this blog so that I could share and connect with other people
who have OCD, their supporters, and potentially mental health
professionals and others who are looking for a more realistic picture of
what it looks like to live the OCD lifestyle. Please feel free to comment on any posts or email me at laurasocdlife@gmail.com.

Laura
